As a provider of ink on paper, we are committed to sustainability of raw materials and the well-being of our community and planet. We are proud to be part of an industry that has managed its natural resources so that today there are more trees in the United States than there were 100 years ago. Furthermore, in 2009 (the last year that statistics are currently available) 63.4% of paper was recovered for recycling vs. 25.5% for glass, 20.3% for aluminum and 7.1% for plastic.
All paper is recyclable, but not all paper is recycled or chain of custody assuring where the trees to make the pulp was harvested. Using these more environmentally friendly materials currently carries a premium cost which not all clients are willing to incur, but when requested we are always happy to specify and use recycled papers and soy based inks to ensure that we do our part in keeping our environment safe and enjoyable for all. Furthermore, we will be happy to use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified printers upon request as well, although that may limit the resources available.
